It's interesting to study as to whether GDP is an indicator for the Country's innovation and the richest people or not.

Of top 20 richest people, 14 are from the USA (70%). The contribution from the richest people is that their wealth can be allocated to create jobs for American people. The more jobs are created, the GDP will increase.
Given the above data, no wonder until today, GDP of the USA is still strong and no other country can defeat the USA's GDP because they have the most innovative companies and they have the most richest people. Awesome!
